WHAT IS EXERCISE LAMITIYE?

  • Exercise LAMITIYE is a joint military training exercise between India and Seychelles.

  • “LAMITIYE” means “Friendship” in the Creole language.

  • It is a biennial exercise (held every two years).
  • The exercise started in 2001.
  • It is usually conducted in Seychelles.
